Sagittarius Season Horoscopes
Sagittarius season is the time of year where we transition into the winter months, where the days get shorter leading up to the Winter Solstice, and where in the Northern Hemisphere, we often lean on our faith traditions to keep us going as we wait for the Sun to rise again. Sagittarius fire is the candle we keep burning throughout the cold night, containing and representing our greatest hope and greatest optimism that comes from faith.
If Sagittarius represents high religion, then Pisces (as Saturn has been in Pisces since March) represents spirituality. If Sagittarius brings us together as a community of believers through shared history, tradition, and custom, then Pisces brings us together through universal principles like loving-kindness and the collective unconscious as the ultimate the source of empathy, which our ability to recognize the divine in every being.
There is an obvious tension we experience between the high religion of Sagittarius and the true spirituality of Pisces. Where Sagittarius centers a one higher truth, Pisces is more cultural relativism. Sagittarius teaches us to seek a sense of identity, purpose, and even comfort in the stories and myths we tell ourselves throughout the generations; whereas Pisces teaches us to live in the sublime unattachment that comes from submission to the unknown (and unknowable), that is beyond the metanarratives humans can construct.
This tension, which we might feel during this Sagittarius season, can manifest as a crisis of belief or a crisis of faith. Because both our need for higher philosophies (even when there is a tendency for dogmatism and self-righteousness) and our need for an unattached, undifferentiated, nonjudgmental, pool of love and light (even if that leads to moral confusion, disillusionment, and disappointment at the inherently flawed nature of humans) are highlighted.
We can find the antidote, for example, in the allegory of the Christ story. The divine in each of us coming back down to earth to live a human existence, concerned with human affairs, having to be genuinely curious about and immersed in what is around us and what we encounter in our daily lives. We infuse the mundane with the mystical in order to truly love our fellow human beings and to desire to be of service to one another. This story teaches that Gemini and Virgo, curiosity about human nature and attending to the needs of those around us, is always a part of true religion and spirituality, and are often needed to elevate both.
Faith with good works in service of those in need becomes a container for spirituality and our relationship with the Divine as well as the space where our higher teachings manifest as blessings for those around us.
See below for how this Sagittarius season will affect your sign (for the most accurate horoscope, look at your Rising sun, but Sun signs and Moon signs also work)
Aries
This Sagittarius season highlights your higher belief systems, moral codes, philosophies, and your ideas about the broader world and your place in it. However, you may struggle with your sources of divine transmission and how you can or cannot tap into them in order to elevate your own consciousness and that of those around you. You may realize that what you preach and what you truly believe in is not enough to carry you emotionally or spiritually. The antidote could be found in getting more curious and communicative with those around you, sharing and exchanging information, infusing the low spaces and little places with your divine wisdom.
Taurus
This Sagittarius season is highlighting your shared investments, resources, and emotionally interdependent relationships as spaces of self-expansion and inspiration. However, you may find that while you have invested a lot of time and effort into building your network of like-minded mystics and creatives, your emotional needs for validation are not being met by your current group of friends or social collective. The antidote could be in centering and prioritizing yourself and your own material needs, cultivating your reserves, while noticing who is and is not willing to share with you and pour into your collective pot.
Gemini
This Sagittarius season is highlighting how others, in the form of partnerships, collaborators, or even challengers, can be a source of wisdom or inspiration, holding up a mirror to you and how you show up in the world. However, you may find that in working toward your personal mission in the world as a mystic or cultivator of true loving-kindness, what you need are teachers, mentors, gurus, or masters who have wisdom, knowledge gleaned from experience, to help guide your path. The antidote could be leaning into your own curiosity, showing up as a student looking for a teacher, someone who is eager and willing to learn, to ask questions, and to be in conversation with those you want to learn from, sharing what you know as someone who always has something to say, but who is also willing to listen and learn from others.
Cancer
This Sagittarius season highlights your daily work habits and responsibilities and how you can be in service to others. However, you may find that what you do and how you spend your days do not reflect or may even be challenging your higher philosophies, especially if daily responsibilities have you on the go or in fast-paced, dynamic environment that leaves little time to dedicate to the structured study of your higher belief systems. The antidote may be in finding intentional spaces of retreat or isolation, making time to slow down and explore your curiosity to learn, read, meditate or contemplate information you’re gathering from the world around as you experience it.
Leo
This Sagittarius season highlights your pleasure projects, romances, or hobbies. Maybe you’re traveling somewhere exciting or encountering something new and fun that is expanding your sense of yourself as a soulful being. However, while you’re recognizing your ego needs to be the main character in your own life, you may find that what those closest to you demand of you or what you must share with others is taking up much of your emotional, energetic, spiritual, and artistic gifts. The antidote could be found in a group of friends or a social collective, people who share your ideas about the world, but can give to you and receive from you in a more unattached or distant manner, and who can recognize your contributions without needing any material benefit from you.
Virgo
This Sagittarius season highlights your foundations of home, family of origin, and early childhood conditioning. Home for you may be a place you return to in order to find meaning from familiar traditions and metanarratives passed down through generations. However, you may find that your closest relationships, and how you choose to show up for those closest to you, is challenging those early philosophies or belief systems, asking you to release attachment to traditional and dogmatic belief systems about yourself and your role in the world. The antidote may be stepping out and into the world as someone who pursues knowledge for knowledge’s sake, genuinely curious, and allowing the answers to life’s biggest questions, specifically about what your role in the world should be, to come to you without judgement.
Libra
This Sagittarius season highlights your local environments, learning projects, communicative endeavors, and social mediums. Maybe you’re experiencing new ideas as sources of self-expansion and exchanging information as a medium of endless self-potential. However, you may struggle with how these new ideas translate into something useful and productive in your day-to-day life. You may be asking yourself how to connect feeling sense and affect to a moral code in order to better use your emotive capacities in service to others. The antidote could be to connect even more to your higher minded and esoteric philosophies, allowing those metanarratives to organize and discern what new information you choose to follow and to structure your daily affairs.
Scorpio
This Sagittarius season highlights your material resources or money matters. You may be evaluating or re-evaluating how you earn your keep. Maybe you’re discovering some fundamental truths about money and your relationship to it or to the skills and internal capacities you possess that you can exchange for material resources. However, you may find that what feeds you spiritually may not feed you literally, that your cultivating of a personal sense of identity through creative endeavors and passion projects is in tension with prioritizing the universal truths of exchanging effort for resources. The antidote could be tapping into varied sources of shared resources, whether in the form of loans, refunds, or other shared investments in order to create space for less effort and more artful self-expression.
Sagittarius
This Sagittarius season highlights your image, personal appearance, and aesthetic sensibilities, especially as it relates to how others closest to you see and receive you. Maybe you’re finding that when you lean into sources of wisdom and inspiration, others show up for you to listen to you and to learn from you. However, you may find that you struggle to break away from the conditioning of early childhood, an environment that might have had you struggling with setting appropriate boundaries in order to feel an appropriate level of control or agency over your own life and what you should do with it. The antidote could be intentionally choosing your partners and collaborators to journey with you, finding those who are communicative, thoughtful, willing to learn and to share what they know, while also holding space to hear from you, holding a container for you to practice and refine the skills you need to make an impact on the world.
Capricorn
This Sagittarius season highlights your areas of isolation or retreat. Maybe it’s worth spending time in religiously significant spaces, or in meditation, deep contemplation, or study of your higher, more expansive philosophies. However, you may find yourself immersed or overwhelmed in the parochial, for example, caught in a complicated web of social drama that is taking up your time and attention. The antidote could be reaching out and lending a helping hand to those in need in your community, in finding the spaces and places, where your voice, ideas, and communicative contributions will be in service to those who need to hear from you the most. In translating your quest for higher meaning into good works, you can both be indevotional practice and immersed in social context.
Aquarius
This Sagittarius season highlights your friend groups and the collectives that inspire your broader social vision. However, you may find that your material resources or finances are more constrained than usual as you aim to better use your emotive and artistic capacities to earn your keep in the world. Attention to what is yours and yours alone is pulling you away from how you can show up in collective. Your need to individuate and to center your own needs has you prioritizing your own wellbeing over the larger good. The antidote could be offering your individual creativity, especially in the form of writing, speaking, or exchanging ideas, as your contribution to the collective hive-mind instead of committing to more emotional heavy lifting in your friendship circles.
Pisces
This Sagittarius season highlights your career or public mission as an adventurer, sage, explorer, or truth seeker. Maybe a new career opportunity is on the horizon. However, you may find a new or developing public mission is in tension with the work you’re doing on your own self presentation, as you may be asked to “dress the part” while trying to understand which part you want to play in public versus in your interpersonal life. On the one hand, you want to project the image of someone with a higher vision who is following their own path that inspires others to do the same. On the other hand, you move through your life in a more relativist manner, deeply attuned and sensitive to the feeling sense of those around you. The antidote could be reconnecting with lessons gleaned from early childhood. Become genuinely curious and excited about learning for learning sake. From there, you may find close confidantes or collaborators willing to learn with you and lend a helping hand in helping you advance your vision in the world.
